2012 News

It has been a while since I have touched the website and to tell you the truth I missed it. I decided to come out with a bang and add a few things to get everyone involved once again. Hopefully this will get us all chatting on the site once again. I added a new section for sharing ideas and opinions on those ideas. If you would like to add something, everyone is welcome to create a topic. In addition, don't be afraid to add your opinion on any topic presented in this section.

I have also been following the D&D Next a little bit and hoping to get deeper into it soon. I created a specific section where we can chat about different things from D&D 5E. I downloaded the free Playtest adventure and want to go through that. Hopefully I can add plenty of topics so we all can get a good idea of what the next edition is going to play like. I want to see some opinions on this as well. Please join in the discussion on D&D Next.

The new summary from the last 2 sessions are up and ready to read. There is a Comments section at the bottom of the summary. If any of you would like to add details, please edit the summary and add your comments to the bottom. Please include your character name before the statements. Hopefully I can keep it going and not take so long to add the summaries next time.

I apologize for how late the summaries have been. A lot has been going on. I am finally all caught up and hopefully I can keep it that way.

It has been a while since we have come together and the Fate Seekers continued their adventures but the first session of the new season is behind us. It was a great session and for the first time in a long time I am looking forward to the upcoming session this Saturday.

The new Player Rewards system has been updated. It should be a much simply system for everyone involved. Please check it out and familiarize yourself with all the details. You will not lose the points you have already accrued, neither will you lose the Permanent Benefit you have gained. Though you will not be earning any new permanent benefits. Everyone will be required to use the points they have remaining. I know what you are thinking and that is not the case. Everyone with current PLPs will be able to spend them in the new Player Reward system. I will be explaining about spending your points at the next gaming session, which should be later today Saturday 25th at 4pm.

For those of you that are new to the game, here is a bit of information about the gaming schedule. I naturally assume we are playing every Saturday from 4pm to 2am. There is a Schedule section in the forums where you can post cancellations if you cannot make it to the game or possibly if you are going to be late. I understand that things happen so if I have to cancel the game for any reason, it will be posted in the News on the welcome page (this is probably new for all the players but I want to start providing as much information as possible to the players through the News section on the Welcome page). Cancellations by me can range from vacations to not enough people available to the game. I will always try to cancel as soon as possible. As soon as I have confirmation that the game will be called off I will post it in the News.

It is strongly recommended that every player start following this site. If you scroll to the bottom of any page you will find a link Start watching: site awlidan-saga.wikidot.com. Simply click on the link and you will get emails of every change made to the site, whether it be News on the welcome page or someone posting in the forums. Whether you are watching the site or not, you should check the site at least once a week so you don't miss any special announcements. Especially cancellations.

I hope everyone is ready to get the dice rolling once again. See you all soon.

Starting February 25th, 2012, I will be starting a new Player Reward system. I am working on the details now and it should be ready by the first session we return to DnD. I think the current PLP system isn't working the way I had planned. The points are simply adding up, with no need to use them. I'm not sure everyone is familiar enough with the PLP system, or simply don't want to trouble themselves with the points. The new system should make it easy for everyone.

Greetings everybody! I hope everyone had a great set of holidays, I know we did. This will be the first news post of the new year, supposedly the last year on earth. I have a couple of announcements to make.

Announcement #1 It is time to kick off Season 3 of the Eridus Isles campaign. Season 3 begins Saturday, February 25th at our usual time and place. I hope everyone will be here to start the Season with a Bang!!
Announcement #2 An old, lost player returns to the table at the start of the Eridus Season. Rhinox returns from his walkabout to help his friends and comrades-in-arms fight the Chaos Titans. Mike Golden will be returning to the group at the start of the new Eridus Season.
Announcement #3 Our family grows a little bit bigger this Season. Three new players will be joining the group. I hope you guys will make them feel welcome at the table and give them the help they need to acclimate themselves to our group and gaming style.

I am looking forward to getting behind the DM screen once again and us creating some memorable gaming moments.
