So I was reading through some PDFs on my thumb drive at work. I have a bunch of old GURPS 3e PDFs that I haven't fully looked through. Anyway I was browsing through a PDF called Far Trader, it's about sci-fi merchant ships and how to run a trade campaign.
Anyway, I was in the section about getting the capital to actually become a merchant and I came upon rules for incorporating, including a formula for determining how much your stock will sell for and how quick it will sell. I thought to myself this is the stuff I was just reading about on the forum.
THEN, I came across the section to simulate a (very simple) interstellar stock market.
This was all after the extensive section on mapping out an economy based on planet types and population.
GURPS is awesome because it's well researched, and actually gives you rules and guidelines for things a normal guy would have to research for weeks to figure out on their own.
