I worked on creating a Dwarf Cleric for entertainment. Battle Cleric? Too predictably dwarven. Maximized healing Cleric? Too easy. Wait… what about, a pacifist? Not just a Cleric using the Pacifist Healer feat, but a true pacifist. Divine Power makes it possible. He has only one power that does damage, and that's because he has to have two At-Will powers. None of his other powers do damage. To further his pacifist nature, he has a vow not to use his damaging power Sacred Flame against any living creature. Undead, demons, devils, and constructs are fair game, but not anything else. I even decided to put him in robes instead of armor. And of course, he doesn't carry any weapon other than a utility dagger that's more of a camp tool.
Aside from serious healing power, he has a lot of controller-like powers. He doesn't hurt enemies, but he's not adverse to dazing them, knocking them prone, pushing them back, or making them vulnerable to damage from his allies. And while doing so he bestows healing, defense bonuses, temp hit points and even damage resistance.
Of course the most fun would be his sanctimonious attitude:
"Congratulations," Grungi sighed to Thoradrim and Kairn. "You killed them." He gestured at the two dwarves' blood-spattered armor. "Are you going to put that blood to use and pray for their souls or are you just going to revel in it like primitive barbarian pagans… again?"
